This eclectic bar in the Gothic quarter of Barcelona boasts retro-kitsch decorations packed full of quirky pieces. High heels are stuck to the wall, underwear hangs from the ceiling, a collection of Barbies are positioned in Kama Sutra poses and religious images are mixed with pop culture icons such as James Dean, Marilyn Monroe, and Audrey Hepburn. The name of the bar gives it away with a play on words in Spanish: “Sor Rita” meaning Sister Rita which also sounds like “zorrita” meaning little slut. This perfectly sums up the bar’s mix of religious references with sinful pleasures.

As soon as you enter the bar you know you’re in for a fun night as you’re met with a rather unusual shrine. Think garish leopard prints and brightly painted walls complete with a wall of shame showing the sinners of the 20th century. The spirit of the bar continues with its music, playing classics such as Boney M, Abba, Marisol and Raffaela Carra. As well as serving fab cocktails to complete the whole package for a perfect night out.
