Piscina del CEM Parc de la Ciutadella

This municipal sports centre is located in the centre of the city, more specifically in the Ciutadella area. You can go up to the roof terrace and discover the outdoor swimming pool. It is a long and shallow pool (1.10 metres), but the area is nice and quiet, and you will not be distracted by prying eyes. Therefore, this is the ideal spot to combine relaxation with a little reading and sunbathing.

The entrance fee for the whole day is €15.65, and this gives you access to all the other facilities of the municipal centre (gym with personal trainers, saunas and medical room). Apart from the outdoor swimming pool, the municipal centre also has an indoor swimming pool. Facilities are open on a daily basis from 7.00 a.m. to 11.00 p.m. on weekdays and from 8.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m. on weekends.

Cooperativa d’Aigues La Floresta

If you were not so lucky to rent a house with a swimming pool in Barcelona, then visit this swimming pool between the municipalities of Barcelona and Sant Cugat del Vallés. The summer swimming pool of La Floresta is located in a quiet zone in the municipality. There is an intimate atmosphere, which makes it the perfect location for a family outing. You will certainly be able to relax and cool off in the welcoming water of the pool. There is an area with natural grass in the shade, and you can also enjoy other facilities on the swimming pool terrain, like hammocks, changing rooms, a picnic area and a bar service.

You can also take advantage of their swimming courses, aquagym and personal swimming training during the months of July and August, and for this they use the large swimming pool. If you will be taking your children with you it is good to know that, besides the large pool, there is also a children’s swimming pool.

Piscina Municipal de Montjuïc

The Municipal Swimming Pool of Montjuïc is a sports facility and it is located at Barcelona’s Olympic Ring (Anillo Olímpico de Montjuic). It has two outdoor swimming pools: one is a 25 metre pool and the other a high diving pool. Pay attention, because these two outdoor pools are only open to the public during the summer months of July and August.

This municipal pool offers magnificent views of the city of Barcelona, due to its location on the hills of Montjuïc mountain and the fact that there are no stands on the northern side. Both the location and the views are so spectacular, that singer Kyle Minogue shot her video clip “Slow” at this pool.
